Environmentally friendly production

The resource-saving use of raw materials is a vital part of environmentally friendly production at Fundermax. In the spirit of the recycling economy, we reprocess secondary raw materials into high-quality products.

In the production of raw chipboards and Fundermax biofiber boards, we primarily use wood fiber from forest thinning that is no longer used in the sawmill industry. The wood fiber content of biochipboard is as high as 99%.

Our compact board has a green core and consists of around 65% paper as a carrier material. We already cover half of our core paper demands entirely with recycled core paper, which we source primarily from our Fundermax subsidiary Ranheim Paper & Board in Norway, a manufacturer of paper and board products.

We also close the loop by using production waste—such as sanding dust, wood scraps, and wood fibers—as a quality-assured substitute fuel in our energy production.

Through the continuous monitoring of our emissions, compliance with our limit values and the state-of-the-art operation of the plants, we guarantee transparent and clean processes for all areas of our production.
