Surfaces for durable lab designs
Well planned. Reliable. Seamless.
In sensitive environments such as laboratories, hospitals or cleanrooms, every detail counts. Our materials impress with their exceptional durability, longevity and easy cleaning – precision-manufactured and designed for long-term use.
Max Resistance², Max Compact Interior Plus and Max Compact Interior are perfectly coordinated and form a comprehensive system for your laboratory planning. This creates functional, safe and, at the same time, aesthetically appealing spaces.
Max Resistance²
The gold standard in the laboratory
Heat-resistant, scratch-resistant, food-safe, durable, uncompromisingly hygienic and incredibly good-looking. With its unique RE surface technology, our Max Resistance² is the best choice for work surfaces under the most extreme laboratory conditions.
Max Resistance² not only meets the requirements of the SEFA3 standard for chemical resistance of horizontal laboratory surfaces – it significantly exceeds them.
Unique: even hydrofluoric acid and highly concentrated sulphuric acid do not damage the panel.
RE technology from Fundermax
Resilient, hygienic, durable
The RE technology developed by Fundermax ensures a fully sealed surface that is extremely resistant on both sides. Compared to EBC or melamine surfaces, Max Resistance² offers significantly higher resistance to scratches, impacts, abrasion and aggressive acids, thereby setting new standards for the durability of laboratory worktops.
The poreless, non-microporous surface of Max Resistance² is easy to disinfect, prevents bacterial growth and achieves a disinfection rate of over 99.99 per cent. Tests confirm that it is just as effective at being disinfected as surgical tiles and stainless steel plates. The surface is therefore ideally suited for use in medicine, biochemistry, the food industry and pharmaceutical laboratories.
Chemically and mechanically resistant
Built for performance. Designed to last.
The patented RE technology gives Max Resistance² exceptional chemical resistance and high mechanical robustness – designed for long-term, intensive use.
- 20% higher impact resistance compared to ESH surfaces
- 3 times higher abrasion resistance
- High flexural strength and excellent dimensional stability
These properties make Max Resistance² particularly resilient and reliable – backed by a 10-year warranty.
Max Compact Interior Plus
The surface with the ‘Plus’.
This surface is specially designed for vertical surfaces in demanding laboratory environments. It withstands intensive daily use as well as regular cleaning with disinfectants. It combines the highest hygiene standards with a calm, high-quality appearance that blends harmoniously into professional environments.
Max Compact Interior
For a harmonious overall look.
Ideal for versatile interior fit-outs in laboratories, these panels are perfect for robust wall cladding, tables and cabinets. They are moisture-resistant, solvent-resistant and particularly easy to maintain, ensuring they reliably withstand the high demands of everyday laboratory life. Thanks to the wide variety of finishes available, Max Compact Interior panels also enable a clear, functional and, at the same time, visually appealing design.
SEFA as the standard – we set new benchmarks
Certified to the highest standards. Reliable in day-to-day laboratory work.
The demands placed on modern laboratory surfaces are high – and the international SEFA standard is regarded as the decisive benchmark for safety and durability. Our solutions not only meet these requirements, they go beyond them to set new standards.
Max Resistance² impresses with its extreme chemical resistance, high stability, long service life and ease of cleaning.
Crucially: The surface significantly exceeds the requirements of the SEFA 3 standard.
As a high-pressure laminate (HPL) in accordance with EN 438-4, Type CGS, Max Resistance² is manufactured under high pressure and at high temperature.
This performance is confirmed by tests carried out in a SEFA-certified laboratory in accordance with SEFA 3-2010 (24-hour exposure): Max Resistance² not only meets but significantly exceeds the requirements – without any critical surface changes.
SEFA remains the benchmark for vertical applications too:
Max Compact Interior Plus complies with the SEFA 8 standard and, thanks to its pore-free, double-cured surface, guarantees the highest standards of hygiene and cleanability – ideal for sensitive areas such as laboratories, cleanrooms and medical facilities.
In addition to SEFA certification, Greenguard, EPD and mindful Materials underline our high standards of quality and sustainability.
Sustainability
Acting responsibly. Preserving resources. Shaping the future.
Building on our ecological roots, we develop solutions for a sustainable future. Sustainability is firmly embedded in our corporate values and forms the basis of our day-to-day operations.
Our environmental and energy responsibilities are set out in the Fundermax Green Deal, which covers five key areas of action, and form an integral part of our ESG sustainability compass (Environment, Social, Governance).
The kraft paper used in our Interior Compact boards with a black core underlines this commitment: it is made from 100 per cent recycled paper. In this way, we extend the life cycle of natural raw materials and make an active contribution to treating the environment responsibly.
